Dear Family,
Well it has been another busy week here in the PPM (Pennsylvania
Philadelphia Mission). First off... I am staying in my area for
another six more weeks! Then second off... we taught a total of 18
lessons this week! My companion said that she got a letter my mission
president saying that he felt like we needed to stay together for
another transfer. So we ether still need to learn from each other or
we are doing something right for the work in this area.
Another one of the less actives that we have worked with a little
bit went into the hospital last week. Throughout the last couple of
weeks she has been getting sick off and on and she didn't want to go
to the doctors because they were thinking about amputating her right
leg from the shine down (because she has bad circulation in her
leg(s)). It got to the point where she had to go to the hospital and a
day or two after she to the hospital the doctors decided that they
were going to amputate her leg. Yesterday we got permission from our
Zone Leaders to go to the hospital with the relief society president
and see how she was doing. It was obvious that she was out of it and
she and it seemed like she was hurting a lot to.
So on Friday our ten year old investigator went over to Lori
Hinsdale's (member that helps us out a lot) and asked her mom when
we're we going to have another lesson. So they texted telling us that
she came over saying that. Well we just so happen to be in the area so
we decided to stop by and set up a time. We set up the lesson for
Saturday (the next day) and we came back Saturday and stopped by her
house before we went over to Lori's house. Well when we came over she
was outside playing with water balloons and we went and asked if she
was ready. She told us that she didn't want to have a lesson and that
she didn't want to continue meeting with us. I told her that we would
be over at Lori's for a little if she ever changed her mind.
Well she never came over and we even made some stuff for people we
are working with. Then later that day Lori went over to her house and
gave her a picture of the three of us. Lori said that she seemed happy
to get the picture. We were going to play the Rolo game with her (we
even had the Rolo's) and I was excited to teach them how to play it.
Our car was in the shop for a day and we had to go on foot for a
day. I was excited about it because we would be able to meet more
people. But when we got our car back I was even more excited because
we were able to go to the other towns in our area!! Well I believe
that is all for this week. Have a wonderful week and I love all of
you!
Love,
Sister Paige Bluemel
