June 23, 2015

Dear Family,
Well I can say that it has been an interesting week! One of the
tires on our car got flat on Sunday and we didn't get the spare tire
on till yesterday afternoon. We had a general authority come to our
mission. He is doing a mission tour which is where he and his wife
goes around the mission and we pretty much have a zone conference and
the general authority talked to us. We did want to take the car up to
the meeting because it takes and 1 hr and 15 minutes to get there. So
we pretty much talked to our zone leaders about getting a ride there
and they talked to another set of zone leaders that go through our
area to get to this building about giving us a ride up to the meeting.
Then after the meeting we got our spare tire on and took the car to a
place called pepboys and got the tire(s) fixed up!
As I said earlier in the letter we went to zone conference. The
general authority that came was Elder Larry S. Keacher and her talked
a lot about having the right mindset for the different areas in the
mission and how we should be working with the ward leaders. We also
got a ride with a set of zone leaders. It's interesting because you
could tell that all the mission were tired because had had to get up
at around 4am because we all had to be at the meeting at 7:30 am
When we were at pepboys waiting for our car there was a women that
got there around 10 minutes after we did. We started talking to her we
eventually led into teaching her a lesson. We talked about a lot of
things and we jumped around to different things. We then have her a
Book of Mormon and she said she would read it. It was funny because
there was a couple of people that sat down around while we were
teaching her. They probably thought we were weird but that's ok with
me because I know that I am weird!
On Friday we had a sports night at our church. We played volleyball
and I was kicking butt and taking names. It's funny because I forgot
my tennis shoes so I pretty much was playing with no shoes. Lori
Hinsdale also got me a minion shirt a couple of weeks ago because I
have been having an obsession with minions lately and I wore that
shirt to sports night. I got a lot of comments on it! They have a
volleyball net that is set up outside (they also have a fire pit at
the church building to) and that is where we played.
So every Sunday we go to this assisted living care place and do a
bible study (I don't know if I told you guys about this last week).
There is a women named Dolly that comes every week and this previous
Sunday and the Sunday before that she has been showing and asking a
lot of questions. When she first started asking questions I pretty
much taught her the restoration all by myself! I felt pretty good
about myself!
We found a new family that lives up in Emmaus (a township in my
area) that we are going to start teaching soon. It's interesting
because we found them while we were trying to find a new move in that
our missionary leader asked us to go contact. One of them was
apparently already baptismed in our church when she was 8 years old
and her sister was there (she was baptized at 12 years old). They said
that they loved the coming to our church when they were little kids.
Well I think that is it for this week. Pday next week will go back
to Monday. Have a wonderful week and I love you

Love,
Sister Paige Bluemel
