Dear Family,
I am now serving in Milford, Pennsylvania. I'm in a branch and its small but they area (or boundaries) are pretty big. My new companion is Sister Udall and she is from Utah. The area looks like an nice but oldish town which is really cool and fun to be in.
We have two investigators but they are both slow learners. They aren't ready for baptism but they know that they one day want to get baptized and become members of the church. We also have someone that just got baptized February 1st and was confirmed yesterday at church. Which is pretty awesome! We have also been teaching a recent convert of a couple of months. We committed him to set s date to get a patriarchal blessing and to get a temple recommend so he can do baptisms for the dead. We also taught an eternal investigator my second day in this area. She has a daughter that was distracting during the lesson. But the lesson wasn't that bad and hopefully what we taught her helped.
We have been trying to get in contact with less active members! A couple of days we got in contact with a less active that hasn't been to church for a couple of years now. She stopped coming to church because a year or two after she moved her a member of the branch offended her (probably without knowing). So she stopped coming to church but she still occasionally reads her scriptures. She told us that she doesn't want to come back to church again. But we did set up an appointment with her so we can come over and read the scriptures with her and to talk for a little bit. We also challenged her to read a verse of the scriptures a day. I hope that she changes her mind and comes back to church again but only Heavenly Father can help her there.
Every Wednesday we go over to the community Thrift Shop and help serve. We put a lot of clothe on hangers and hung them up. It is interesting what kind of stuff is donated. But we spent about an hour over at the thrift shop and it was pretty fun. We also go to the church on Wednesday nights and do Book of Mormon Studies with some of the members in the branch.
On Sunday's we go over to this assistant living place and do bible studies with some people that live there. They are really entertaining and they have a good time doing the bible studies. What we do is read a story from the bible with them and then discuss it. So it is a lot of fun to do!
Well I think that is all for this week! I hope that you all have a great week and I love you!
Love, Sister Paige Bluemel
