Our first letter from Sister Bluemel once she had arrived in Pennsylvania.

Dear Family,
Well the first thing I noticed when I got here was how the humidity
and how heavy the air is. I also noticed that there is a lot of trees
here and they don't have mountains but they have hills that look like
mountains. As you might have figured out... My first area I am serving
in is Valley Forge, Pennsylvania! I think I jinxed myself. I told mom
and dad at the airport that I didn't want to be in a trio
companionship again because it felt a little hard and I am in a trio
companionship. But it is all good! I love the companions I am with. I
feel like I can be more of myself around them than my other
companions. There names are Sister Bernards (she is from Utah and she
has like four or five more weeks of her mission left) and Sister Green
(she is from LA and she is been out for about nine months).
We usually go out and teach less active members or investigators.
We have talked to members and also tried talking to a potential but
she wasn't home. My comps have been trying to get this less active
member named Sis. Dobbs to get a priesthood blessing because she has
been sick for a couple of weeks and she smokes which doesn't help her
(We are going to start a stop smoking program for her so that she will
stop smoking). Before we went in my companions told me that I was
going to extend the commitment to get the blessing. We went in we
talked about it with her. I extended the invitation to get a blessing
and she accepted it. We asked her about it the day after she got the
blessing and she said she has noticed the difference after she got it!
My comps and are in like an apartment. One of the members has a
garage that is separated from the house. They fixed up the top floor
of the garage to a small apartment. So we staying at a
members/apartment. We are also and iPad mission. We use the iPad for
an area book, lessons, emails, etc. So everyone that didn't get the
ability to use an iPad on there mission be jealous (I am using it
write now as I am writing you this letter). I think we also get to
"video chat" on Christmas and Mothers Day.
A lot of members here are helpful. They are really good about going
to lessons with us and such. They are also really good about feeding
us meals and such. I am having a blast here. I think I am still in a
culture shock. A lot of things have been getting easier now. Which is
good. Thanks for all the pics. I love seeing them!

Love,
Sister Paige Bluemel

We got some pictures from her too!
