Hi from the MTC,
The first day of the MTC was really good. They just welcomed us and we met out district and our teachers. It felt a little overwhelming the first couple of days. It was interesting a couple of sisters that was in my Zone had me and my companions try and oreo with some easy cheese on it. It tasted a little weird. We usually get up at 6ish. We get ready and study for about an hour. We study in our classroom. Our classes are around eight hours maybe a little longer.I am in a trio companionship. There names are Sis. Winters (from Utah) and Sis. Holt (from Las Vegas). They are pretty cool and fun to be around. We have a lot of fun together. Sis. Winters and I tried to scare Sis. Holt a couple of days ago.We have been doing a couple of practice lessons and the first three were not very good. Then we figured out what to do. So the last two have been really good and we feel really good about them. We are excited to do another one.I guess I am the senior companion. They do it by whoever's last name is closest to A is the senior companion. I am also the music coordinator which fits me!!At the devotionals that I have been to we heard from Wendy W. Nelson. David F. Evens and Christoffal Golden and his wife. Christiana Brandt sung at one of the devotions. IT sounded really good. David F. Evens was at a BYU devotionals (yesterday). He invited all the missionaries at the MTC to come to it.My district was a video about the Garments during one of study times. It was good and interesting to. There is one part where they mention magical underwear. Then one of the Elders called it Jesus Jameys (haha).I don't if I got all of your questions. I am going to try and send you a picture of my district and my companions either soon or next p-day.
-Sister Bluemel
Also, bright and early on November 11, 2014 Sister Bluemel called my parents from the airport as she was on her way out PA to meet her trainer, mission president, and begin her service in the field. How exciting! My parents said she sounded great, very excited, and had learned a lot at the MTC. She made us all laugh with a comment. I guess she realized she had just purchased conditioner and no shampoo for her suitcase prior to entering the MTC. My mom asked if she had gotten any, Paige said she hadn't...she was waiting for my mom to send her some! Living without shampoo for almost two weeks! Hopefully her companions shared with her. I guess she said her hair was a little greasy but was still waiting for that nice little package from mom! We all got a good kick out of that. Mom proceeded to tell her that she was to buy some at the airport immediately, no matter the cost, just in case she wouldn't have a preparation day for a few more days! I think shampoo is a great excuse to send a package!
