Dear Family,
Well first things first... on Thursday I got bitten by a dog. But
it's all good it isn't to serious though. Dad you don't need to freak
out about it! I think it's awesome because I can tell people that when
I was on my mission a dog bit me. I'm proud of my battle wound marks.
On the Fourth of July my President Anderson (my mission president)
gave us permission to stay out until 10:15. As long as we were with an
investigator or a member. We have an investigator that is a Jew and
him and some other people that are apart of his religion were having
fireworks at his church. He invited us and Lori to come. But we
decided not to because all of us were pretty tired and it was out of
our area.
We got a new investigator this past week. One of the people in the
ward council asked us to stop by a family that recently moved into the
area. It's a mom and she has three daughters one of them is ten and
hasn't been baptized yet and she really wants to get baptized soon.
She knows a lot about the gospel. We are planning on having her
baptized in the next couple of weeks.
We had a lesson with our investigator that is Jewish last night. We
invited him to be baptized band he said that he eventually would like
to be baptized. After we left from the lesson he texted us telling
that he wanted to stop smoking and wanted to try the church's stop
smoking program the next time we have a lesson.
A couple of weeks ago one of the members in the branch made a bet
with two of our investigators this week. The bet was that if they read
the Book of Mormon together everyday for a week her and her husband
would take all of us to this ice cream shop called "The Inside Scoop"
and get this thing called "The Volcano". The volcano contains about 14
scoops of ice cream and 8 toppings. The challenge was to work as a
group to eat the whole thing and if we ate the whole thing we got our
picture taken and put up on the wall.
We are the volcano and we got a picture taken. Just so you know a
picture of me will be on the wall here in Pennsylvania. I hope that
you all are jealous. Just so you know I am going bowling later with
two of our investigators and Lori Hinsdale. I am going to kick butt
and take some names. Well that is all for this week. I hope that you
have a wonderful week and I love you!
Love,
Sister Paige Bluemel
