Dear Family,
Well I got to go bowling Monday with two investigators and Lori
Hinsdale. We split in to two teams of three and made a deal that
whoever lost had to teach the winning a lesson. When we originally
started talking about this the deal was the losing team had to feed
the winning team dinner/lunch! My team was Lori, Keith (one of our
investigators), and Me. Then the other team was Sister Hoofman, Sister
Lythgoe, and Jeff (the other investigator). My team dominated and beat
the other team by 200 hundred points. So the other team has to teach
us a lesson! I'm feeling like a winner.
On Tuesday we had a thing called Golden Retraining. It's were
trainers and their goldens (the brand new missionaries) met together
and President and Sister Anderson and the Assistants talk to us for a
little bit. Then the assistants take the trainers answers any
questions that we may have. President and Sister Anderson take all the
goldens and see how they are and how they are liking the mission. Then
we pretty much switch and President and Sister Anderson talk to the
trainers and ask us and talk to us what they think that the goldens
are feeling and stuff like that. The assistants pretty much answer any
questions that the goldens might have. Then after that we get to do
some role plays.
A missionary served here about a year ago and was visiting. She was
stoping in my area Tuesday and one of the members was having a bbq for
her. We were invited and so was a couple of other members that wanted
to come. We got to talk to the return mission for a while and she
talked a lot about what she did in this area and asking if we taught
or were teaching the same people she taught. She asked us for our
number to because she wanted to send us a list of people that she came
across in this area that she wanted us to stop by which was really
cool.
It was funny because yesterday when we were on dinner break and
President Anderson texted asking about a couple of people in our area
that we are working with. When he sent us the messages I asked Sister
Hoofman when him and the assistants start figuring out transfer and
she said usually about two weeks before. I am now convinced that my
mission president might split my area. There use to be two sets of
missionaries a couple of transfers before I got to this area. Now I
think that my mission president might be thinking about putting
another set it. Which would be a lot of fun. I got my golden to start
freaking out about it to and I couldn't help but laugh about it!
We didn't have as many lessons as the week before but that is ok.
It was kind of an off week. But we will be teaching a lot more people
this week. Well have a wonderful week and I love you all!
Love,
Sister Paige Bluemel
P.S. I don't like the humidity at all but on the plus side its really
green over here.
