Dear Family,
Happy Memorial Day and Happy Birthday to Mom!! I hope that everyone
is having a blast today! This week has felt pretty busy and crazy. We
had about the same amount of lessons as the week previously. We got a
new investigator on Saturday but his mom isn't to pleased about him
having the lessons. We keep asking him if it's ok with his mom if we
teach and he keeps telling us that his mom can't tell him what to do.
It is obvious that he is trying to be an adult and do his own thing.
But it is also a obvious that his mom is just trying to protect him.
We even talked to her and Lori Hinsdale was with us and the mom was
going off about all this false stuff about us. So we kind of ignored
it and walked away.
My mission president has been trying to get us to teach the
restoration in 8 minutes. So we have been doing a lot of role playing
and practicing. There is a member in the branch that I am serving in
her husband isn't a member but he is supportive of the missionaries
and really likes us. So we went over to their house and did some
gardening and had dinner with them. We asked them if it was ok if we
practiced on them and they were up for it. So we practiced and only
had 30 seconds to spare and I could really feel the spirit after we
taught them! It was awesome!
So every month the branch hosts an FHE and the missionaries usually
teach the lesson and last Monday was FHE. The lesson we did was about
temples and we worked on making sure that everyone that was there
being involved with the lesson.
We got to spend a little bit at the branch presidents house a
little bit ago. They have a really nice house along with a pool and a
hot tub that is connect to the pool (they also had a spring board). I
really wanted to go swimming but I had to resist the temptation to
jump in. But other then that our week was the same. I hope that you
guys have a wonderful week and I love you all!
Love,
Sister Paige Bluemel
