January 12, 2015

Dear Family,
It actually snowed on Tuesday! It was really entertaining watching
my companions react to the snow. Sister Green had the best reaction to
it considering that she is from Southern California. My companions
thought that our car was going to get grounded.
We had a district meeting Thursday morning and it was a really good
meeting. We talked about our Zone Training that we previously had the
week before. Then we did a district 911. A district 911 is where a
companionship tells the district about an investigator that they are
teaching and then tells the district what we need help with. Then the
district gives advice to that companionship on what we could do with
that investigator. My companions and I were one of the groups that
were asked about an investigator that we needed help with.
The investigator we talked about we were just so happening to have
a lesson with about an hour after district meeting. You can tell that
she is really interested in the church and that she could feel the
spirit when we taught. The only problem we were having was she wasn't
really reading the Book of Mormon. Our original plan with in the
lesson that day was to teach her the plan of salvation. But after my
district gave us advice the three of us got the impression that we
needed to talk to her about the Book of Mormon and why it's so
important to our church.
We got to the lesson and we brought one of the members in our ward
with us. We got a really strong impression that we needed to bring
this member with us to the lesson. Throughout the lesson they really
connected. We talked a lot about the Book of Mormon and the member
that we brought really helped out a lot! She even started to introduce
the plan of salvation and some other things that we will be teaching
her!
We had another lesson last week with a lesson active. But his wife
is active and goes to church every week. We are working on helping him
understand how to find his faith in Christ. He has told us that he
has thought a lot about what we are teaching him. But we can tell that
there is some things that are stopping him from coming to church
again.
We got into a less actives home less week. For a couple of weeks we
have been trying to get into a less actives home. But every time that
we tried to get in she wasn't home at all. Well just a couple of days
we went over and tried to get in. Well she happened to be home and we
got to talk to her for a little bit. We got a return appointment with
her tomorrow. She wants us to teach her nine year old daughter. So we
have to think about things that we could teach her daughter but at the
same is teaching her. Which is kind of fun to do because she doesn't
know that we're also teaching her at the same time as we are teaching
her daughter!
Well I think that is all that has happened this week. I hope that
you guys have a wonderful week! I love you guys. Have fun and be safe!

Love,
Sister Paige Bluemel
