Dear Family,
So the D.I.E.T (which stands for Dynamic Initial Entry Training) is
apart of my training here. They give you a couple of things that they
want you to memorize and they want you to read the Book of Mormon and
the lessons in my preach my gospel. Once you get it done you are able
to have a Facebook account. But you can only use it for missionary
work and they are strict about it. I can't have family members as
friends unless they are help teaching a lesson via Facebook.
We only have about three investigators. It is hard to schedule them
sometimes because sometimes there schedule doesn't work out. We also
work a lot with less active members and new members that were baptized
before I got here. We have taught the first two lessons a couple of
times and other things that fit the needs of the people we are
teaching. I think the hardest part of teaching is sometimes when I
feel like I need to say something one of my companions bet me to it.
Which is probably the hardest part about being in a trio. I think it
will get easier when I have one companion and not two companions. But
my companions do there best in making sure I say something.
I loved watching the Christmas Devotional. I actually paid
attention to what they were saying for once in my life. I made it a
goal that I have to write two things from each person that spoke and
that helped a lot! I really like the story that Sister Bonnie L
Oscarman talked about. It was the candy story and the 10 cents. That
story stuck out to me the most. We went to a members house and watched
it.
Guess what!?! So the members that feed us last night made us
spaghetti for dinner. Let's just say I was in have when I was eating.
A couple of people have told us that she made really good spaghetti.
The mother of the family is really funny and it's very entertaining to
hear what she is talking about!
We have gotten to help some families put there Christmas tree up in
the past weekish. I think I'm figuring out how much fun doing the tree
is. It is interesting to see how people decorate there tree and what
kind of ordainments they put on the tree. We also helped someone in
the ward wrap some presents. I think all that time that I spent
watching/helping mom with the presents was a bid benefit.
We had our Christmas party this previous Saturday. When people got
to the church they had the walk to Bethlehem and knock at the inns.
Just like what Joseph and Mary did. Then after that they had some of
the primary kids act out the nativity. Which by the way was really
cute. Then we ate waffles. By the way chocolate syrup on waffles are
really good!

 Love,
Sister Paige Bluemel
