| Christmas Eve |
Dear Family,
Well not much has happened since Thursday. We did spend a couple of hours at the place I Skyped you fun. The mom of the family made a really good dinner! But I couldn't eat a lot of it but it was really good.
On the 27th we went to a ward party called a "posada." It was some kind of Mexican/Spanish party. It was fun but a good chuck of things was in Spanish and I couldn't understand anything when they were speaking Spanish. The food was really good and really filling. Mexican people make good food.
Yesterday one of my companions felt that we needed to go knock on a couple of doors on a specific street and talk about family history. We knocked on three doors. The first door we knocked on didn't show much interest for what we were talking about. The second door we went to the women was really interested and wanted to know more. We talked to her about coming back and starting family history. So we are going to go back soon and start doing the family history. The last door we did I took the lead on. I knocked on the door and this guy answers the door. I said "we are missionaries for the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints" and he goes "I'm not interested." Then shut the door on us. I didn't even get to finish what I was saying.
Well I think that is all for today. Have fun with the rest of your guys break. I have been working on Trevor's commitment today and I am doing good on it. It's still a work in progress though. I love you guys and have a good week!
Love, Sister Paige Bluemel
